Woody Millholland - A Fixture of The Church Street Village

Woody Millholland - A Fixture of The Church Street Village

Woody Millholland is a friend of mine and the busiest "Dresser" in the Toronto theatre world. Nightly he can be found backstage at the Royal Alexandra, Princess of Wales or any other major long-term production.
I met Woody around the time of the first run of "Crazy for You" at the Alex and as chance would have it, I had just finished the artwork of that very subject !

We discussed the potential marketing of subsequent artwork in the expectation that actors and crew would love to collect a series of prints depicting productions they themselves had participated in over their careers. Woody would take a sample print then act as my agent backstage collecting names and payment over the course of the show's run. Once the list was finalized I'd create the prints and meet him at the stage door for delivery.
People seem to love this marquis of "Wicked"
In this way Woody has amassed by far the most extensive collection of my theatre prints... as one print from each production is his commission for Woody's charming service to myself and our theatrical fellow artists !
Remember when 100 couples got married at Casa Loma when Toronto hosted World Pride:
